MTS was recently awarded the contract to remove hazardous trees that are located along the I-95 corridor in Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2019 a fire ravaged approximately 175 trees along the I-95 corridor between mile markers 368 and 369. The National Park Service, through the Department of Interior, requested a contractor to come on-board and
remove the trees employing traditional methods versus the use of large mechanical devices.
This burnt trees present a hazard to motorists traveling the I-95 should high winds occur that would cause the already weakened trees to fall onto the highway.
MTS is excited to be able to assist the Department of Interior and National Park Service in providing a safe
travel corridor in the coming travel season.
